I think as you spend more time working with the Reiki energy, it finds the unique way it wants to work through you. This can play out in the types of clients you attract and also in the different tools and modes you use to channel the energy.

I am finding a very special relationship with remote Reiki. At first, I wasn’t sure a remote session could be as powerful as an ‘in-person’ session, but I was quickly proven wrong on that front. For me, remote/distance Reiki is proving to be a very powerful way to conduct a session, for both my animal and human clients and I’m finding that sometimes the messages that come through are particularly strong.

How does it actually work? Well Reiki is energy and energy is not confined to a room or location. It is possible to provide a Reiki session to a client without being in the same room, connecting and channelling to someone over any distance.

When conducting remote sessions, I usually do a brief check-in phone call first and then ask you to be at rest and make yourself comfortable on your bed or couch. You can play music you find relaxing, if you wish. This is my Spotify playlist that I usually draw from – I’m very fussy about what goes on there to ensure it supports deep relaxation during the session – and you are welcome to play a track from here on your own device at home.

We end the phone call and the session takes place. You can experience all of the usual sensations and reactions that you would in a physical session inc feeling heat/cold, tingling, muscle twitches, emotions bubbling up, stomach churning, falling asleep etc. When the session is complete I send a text message and give you a few minutes to sit up and have some water. We then have an end-of-session chat.

It can be a really convenient way to access the benefits of Reiki if you don’t have time to get to a session in-person and can also be helpful for those who may be unwell, injured or with mobility issues.
